If you are planning an event, you may want to include other downtown businesses.  There are plenty of opportunites to include organizations like the Children's Museum, the Public Library, The Natural History Museum, PASA, the Acadiana Center for the Arts and more!

Permits

Fire Permit:
  • $20 per event
  • Pick up a permit application from the Fire Training Station at 1307 Bertrand Dr.
  • Firewatch only for pyrotechnics
  • All gates to Parc International must be unlocked or the Fire Chief will shut down your event, fine you, and refuse to permit future functions.

Sound Variance Permit:
  • $25 per event
  • No matter when the event takes place, it is a good idea to have a permit.
  • First pay for the permit at LUS next to City Hall
  • Then bring the signed contract to the noise and alcohol office  on the corner of Pinhook, Coolidge, and Jefferson (when you pay, LUS will give you a map)
  • Pick up an application from  2100 Jefferson St. Ste. 102-A
